Dr. Alan M. Richards holds a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Hearing Science from the Graduate Center, City University of New York. He is licensed to practice audiology by the New York State Education Department. He holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), is a Fellow in the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), and is also Board Certified in Audiology from the
The American Board of Audiology.
Dr. Richards has had extensive teaching
and research experience as both a Professor
of Audiology at City University of New York
and as a researcher in the Hearing
Sciences. He has published two textbooks
in hearing and research methods and has a
significant number of peer-reviewed research
publications. Dr. Richards is presently an
Adjunct Professor in the Speech-Language-
Hearing Doctoral (Ph.D.) Program, Graduate
Center, City University of New York.
Dr. Richards has over 30 years of clinical experience
in the fitting and dispensing of hearing instruments.
His goal is to fit each individual with consideration
to the patients lifestyle and individual needs. He prides himself on long-term relationships with his patients, their friends and families.
Dr Richards' special interests lie in electrophysiological diagnostics related to hearing and balance disorders.
